MCBA - - Morgan County Bar Association

WELCOME TO THE:

The Morgan County Bar Association (MCBA) is an affiliation of attorneys who work and/or live within the Morgan County, Indiana area. The Association currently serves two main functions:

To allow Legal Practitioners in the Morgan County area an efficient means of communication concerning the issues and problems surrounding the Practice of law within Morgan County.
Bettering the practice of law within Morgan County, and by that, enhancing the quality and value of legal services to both the residents of Morgan County and others who have need of legal serviced within the county.

Membership is limited to those who are currently admitted to the practice of law, or those who are no longer practicing, having left the practice under conditions of good standing. While the MCBA exists primarily for attorney's who have some connection to Morgan County, Indiana, any person admitted to the practice of law is welcome to attend meetings or apply for membership.

MCBA ACTIVITIES:

Monthly Meetings.
Typically these are held at the Golden Corral in Martinsville. (At the corner of S.R. 37 & Burton Lane) Usually these are held on the 3rd Thursday of the Month, but this should be verified by contacting an association officer. Members are sent Notices. Meeting include both lunch, an informal meeting and typically a speaker of interest.

Social Events

Two annual events are usually held:

The Annual Golf (of course) Outing.
Christmas party.
Other spontaneous events are prone to occur.

Law Day Program
The MCBA is proud to assist and further the efforts of the Indiana State Bar Association's Law Day efforts.
