Due to the type of e-mails sometimes received by police departments i.e. spam, solicitation, obscenities, messages to inmates, etc., the “preferred” method of contact for the Morgan Co. Sheriff Dept. is by telephone. As in the past, questions of general nature about something on the web site, who to contact about a certain issue such as sheriff sales, etc., will be passed on / forwarded to the appropriate person or department. “Do Not” e-mail private or personal information on this or any non-secure web site or e-mail. Reply times may vary depending on the nature of the e-mail or the officer’s schedule that it is sent to. Include the preferred method of reply (e-mail or phone).
